The project involves restoring 24 acres of unauthorized OHV routes by 1) closing unauthorized OHV trails with fencing, educational signage redirecting OHV users to nearby legal OHV recreation areas, and lopping and scattering brush to cover trail entrances; 2) restoring damaged areas through replanting with native vegetation; and 3) controlling erosion through placement of straw wattles and similar erosion control devices. The two sites to be restored are designated as Area 2 (7 acres) and Area 5 (17 acres) in the Clover Flat area of the La Posta Preserve managed by the Back Country Land Trust.
