Document Description
The Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) would be providing funding to help implement vegetation treatments for approximately 1,134 acres of State Responsibility Area (SRA) lands within the Grouse Ridge Research Forest in Nevada County. Treatment activities include mechanical and manual treatments, herbicide application, and prescribed burning. The purpose of these treatments is to promote forest and watershed health, reduce fuel load, and demonstrate efficacy of climate beneficial prescriptions.
