Document Description
The Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) would be providing funding to help implement a fuel break and ecological restoration treatments on up to 831 acres of land within the Shelterwood Collective property using manual treatments, mechanical treatments, prescribed burning (both broadcast and pile burning), prescribed herbivory and herbicide application. The purpose of these treatments is to promote oak woodland restoration, forest and watershed health, reduce fuel load, and demonstrate efficacy of climate beneficial prescriptions.
