Document Description
The Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) would be providing funding to help implement wildland urban interface (WUI) fuel reduction and ecological vegetation treatments on up to 1,843.7 acres of land in Sacramento County using manual treatments, mechanical treatments, prescribed burning, and herbicide application. Maintenance treatments would involve the same vegetation treatment types and activities used in the initial treatments. The purpose of these treatments is to promote forest and watershed health, reduce fuel load, and demonstrate efficacy of climate beneficial prescriptions.
