Document Description
Amador Resource Conservation District (RCD) proposes to implement vegetation treatments on up to 3,440 acres of land in Amador County in the Jackson Creek Watershed east of the City of Jackson. The proposed treatment type is ecological restoration and the proposed treatment activities are prescribed burning, mechanical treatments, manual treatments, prescribed herbivory, and herbicide application. Maintenance treatments would involve the same vegetation treatment types and activities used in the initial treatments. Amador RCD has prepared a Project-Specific Analysis (PSA) and Addendum to the Program Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the California Vegetation Treatment Program (CalVTP) to evaluate if the proposed project is within the scope of the CalVTP Program EIR and provide environmental information to Amador RCD in compliance with CEQA. The Jackson Creek Forest Health Project PSA/Addendum was prepared to evaluate the project as a later activity covered by the CalVTP Program EIR.
