Document Description
Project Description: The California Department of Forestry and Fire Prevention (CAL FIRE) has prepared a Project-Specific Analysis (PSA) for the project as a later activity covered by the California Vegetation Treatment Project (CalVTP) Program Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Intermountain Camp Fuel Reduction Project. The Intermountain Camp Fuel Reduction Project entails implementation of vegetation treatments on up to 80 acres of land in Lassen County, four (4) miles west of the Town of Bieber. The proposed treatment types (i.e., Wildland-Urban Interface Fuel Reduction and Fuel Breaks) and treatment activities (i.e., manual treatments, mechanical treatments, and prescribed burning) are consistent with those evaluated in the CalVTP Program EIR. Maintenance treatments would involve the same vegetation treatment types and activities used in the initial treatments.
