Document Description
The Solano 4 Wind Project consists of decommissioning existing wind turbine generators (WTGs) and constructing up to 22 new WTGs in the Solano County Wind Resource Area of Solano County. The Project would have a net energy production capacity of up to 91 MW. Individual WTGs would have a maximum height of 492 to 590 feet and rotor diameter of 446 to 492 feet. Access roads and electrical collection system would be installed to support the new WTGs, along with minor upgrades to the Russel Substation. In approving the Project, SMUD determined there is no feasible alternative (Gov. Code 53096) and the Project is consistent with the purposes of the State Aeronautics Act.
