Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-SBA-26717-R5), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, California Department of Transportation. The project is limited to replacing the north and south bound bridges on State Route 101 that cross Refugio Creek. Each bridge will be replaced with a single-span, castin-place concrete box girder structure of the same length, alignment, and profile. Each new bridge will be six feet and four inches wider than the existing structures and provide safety improvements including upgraded bridge rails. In addition, the project will replace the concrete channel bottom of Refugio Creek with a roughened ramp and pool geomorphic channel design that will restore steelhead passage.
