The San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board issued a Clean Water Act section 401 water quality certification (Certification No. R9-2021-0174) to the Project Applicant to construct an extension of Fenton Parkway onto the 172.13-acre future Mission Valley Campus site to connect Street A for the purpose of improving multi-modal circulation for the campus. To facilitate the road extension, the existing pipe culvert will be extended approx. 100 linear feet downstream from its current terminus and a new headwall and 768-square-foot riprap dissipation pad will be constructed. Compensatory mitigation will be provided at the San Luis Rey Mitigation Bank and an on-site restoration project on Murphy Canyon Creek.
