Document Description
CDFW is intending to execute a Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (#EPIMS-SDO-17739-R5) to the project applicant, San Diego State University. The project proposes to impact 0.27 acre of southern cottonwood-willow riparian forest growing in a riprap lined storm drain channel in order to extend the existing Fenton Parkway onto the project site and connect it to Street A, a new street proposed as part of the development. Impacts to the riprap-lined storm drain channel are limited to those associated with the extension of Fenton Parkway onto the project site and the associated drainage improvements needed to facilitate the road connection. To offset project impacts, the applicant will restore and enhance the riparian habitats within Murphy Canyon Creek, situated along the far
east project boundary.
