The development of the West River Parkway to provide access for visitors to the Truckee River. The project will include an ADA accessible riverfront trail, paved picnic and sitting areas, interpretive sign, native vegetation and restoration of the riparian edge.

Reasons for Exemption
The site was previously used as a county corporation yard and has since been remediated. It is vacant, granded and unvegetated. The site has been previously developed and is in an urbanized area, there would not be degradation of the environment or habitat by the proposed project. Only landscaping, surface drainage improvements and park furniture are proposed as part of the project. No buildings are proposed.
