Document Description
Reconstruct and resurface approximately ¼ mile of James Street from the north flow line of E. Lerdo Highway to approximately 50 feet north of the centerline of the Central Avenue/James Street intersection; to install ADA compliant ramps at the intersection corners, including those on the north side of E. Lerdo Highway; and, where needed, to replace existing sidewalks, curbs, and gutters along the east and west sides of the street. All work will occur within the City right-of-way. The project will include the removal of the pavement section to subgrade and replacement with asphalt concrete over compacted Class II base. The maximum depth of excavation will be 1.9 feet. Additional work will include restriping the newly paved roadway, the intersecting street intersections, and E. Lerdo Highway to the south flow line. The asphalt concrete, base material, and concrete removed during construction will become the responsibility of the contractor who will either properly dispose of, or recycle, the material.
