Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (sf) of mature mixed-light cannabis located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN) 015-130-021. The applicant is seeking a Small Mixed-Light Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-690) and currently holds a provisional Small Mixed-Light Tier 1 Adult-Use Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC; CCL20-0001320, Expires on 2024-04-16). Existing activities include the cultivation of approx. 5,040 sf of mature outdoor cannabis in fifteen (15) raised beds, each with 2-rows of 4’x40’ canopy area. Proposed cannabis support infrastructure includes the installation of seventeen (17) 6’x48’ hoop rows (approx. 4,896sqft) and eighteen (18) 4’x48’ hoop rows (3,456sqft) when totaled are 8,352sqft of aggregate cannabis cultivation, to replace the raised beds all in previously disturbed area on the main cultivation flat. No grading or tree removal is required, only hand tools will be used for the installation of all proposed hoop rows. No supplemental lights are proposed for use in the 6’ hoop rows; hoop covers will be used for light-deprivation only. There are three (3) 10’x10’ support structures and one (1) 8’x10’ structure for drying, harvest storage, admin hold area, general storage and chemical storage; 10’x10’ compost area and thirteen (13) existing 2,500-gallon water storage tanks. Water for cultivation would be provided from a permitted spring diversion on-site with 1-1/4’ waterline. Power for the project site will be provided by a proposed portable solar system; replacing any existing gas-powered water pumps that would require carbon offset credits to be purchased. There are no employees and the projects’ wastewater needs are met with a permitted septic and dwelling on the adjoining parcel with same property owner, 015-130-020. A more detailed project description can be found in the attached Appendix C Checklist. SPECIAL NOTES: 1. Although this project is being approved as small mixed-light, the proposed project does not include the use of any supplemental lighting for flowering and the hoop rows will be used for light-deprivation, outdoor only.
