Document Description
Projects 1 & 2 are limited to the installation of rock ford crossings at current, unprotected low water crossings. Crushed rock will be placed along the full road width, reaching beyond the top of the bank on both sides of the roadway. The protected crossings will be approximately 12-feet wide by 20-feet long and have a depth of approximately six inches. Project 3 is limited to the removal of a failed 12-inch corrugated metal pipe (CMP) and failing pedestrian bridge at Carter Gulch. The CMP has settled into the bottom of the channel and is partially buried in sediment. The pedestrian bridge is primarily composed of wood, the abutments of which are deteriorating in the soil of the bank. The bottom cord of the bridge currently remains below the top of the bank. Both the culvert and the entirety of the pedestrian bridge will be removed by hand. Project 4 is limited to the upgrading of an existing culverted stream crossing to a rock ford. An undersized, 24-inch diameter CMP currently exists at the stream crossing. The CMP will be removed, and four-inch crushed rock will be placed along the full road width, reaching beyond the top of the bank on both sides of the roadway. The protected crossing will be approximately 12-feet wide by 20-feet long and have a depth of approximately six inches.
