Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of outdoor mature canopy located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN): 019-390-024-000. The applicant is seeking a Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-781) and is also seeking an Adult-Use Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC). Phase 1 existing canopy areas include (305) full season outdoor plants grown in 200-gallon 5’x5’ fabric pots, for a total of 7,625sqft. Exiting supporting infrastructure includes: two (2) 2,500-gallon water tanks; and a 10’x12’ shed for storage. Proposed modifications for Phase 3 of this project include a 30’x30’ storage/processing building for nutrients, pesticides and an administrative hold area; four (4) 30’x100’ Greenhouses, with a total of three (3) 3,000 SF mature growth canopies, and one (1) 3,000 SF immature growth canopy; and a 10’x20’ temporary hoop house for immature growth. All proposed activities will be on previously disturbed ground with no vegetation removal. Water for this project will be through a permitted onsite groundwater well; power for the project will be provided by a permitted solar array, and a permitted septic system will serve the project’s wastewater needs. This project is proposing multiple phases of development; Phase 2 proposes re-arranging of the cultivation areas and various supporting infrastructure in the existing footprint, specifically (120) 6’x6’ boxes (total 4,320sqft), (99) 6’x6’ boxes (total 3,564sqft) and one (1) 30’x100’ hoop house (or greenhouse) for 2,088sqft – totaling approx. 9,972sqft of outdoor mature canopy area. Additional infrastructure will include an existing 10’x12’ shed for ag chemical and fuel storage, a proposed 20’x20’ structure for immature canopy, packaging, processing on previously disturbed area; a temporary 20’x20’ covered area for processing, drying; a 10’x12’ shed for general storage, two (2) 2,500-gallon water storage tanks and 20’x20’ compost area. A more detailed project description can be found in the Appendix C Checklist. SPECIAL NOTES: 1. A minor modification was received on 02/25/2025 requesting to change the proposed cultivation license type to Small Outdoor only (including light-deprivation) and redefining the proposed cultivation area and supporting infrastructure in the same existing footprint.
