Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (sf) of mature mixed-light, with proposed transition to outdoor cannabis located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN) 015-130-021-000. The applicant is seeking a Small Mixed-Light Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-690), with proposed transition to Small Outdoor with the County and currently holds a provisional Small Mixed-Light Tier 1 Adult-Use Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC; CCL20-0001320, Expires on 2025-04-16), with proposed transition to Small Outdoor with the DCC. The applicant is also seeking a Self-distribution, Self-transport Type 13 License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) Existing activities include the cultivation of approx. 5,040 sf of mature outdoor cannabis in fifteen (15) raised beds, each with 2-rows of 4’x40’ canopy area. Proposed cannabis support infrastructure includes the installation of seventeen (17) 6’x48’ hoop rows (approx. 4,896sqft) and eighteen (18) 4’x48’ hoop rows (3,456sqft) when totaled are 8,352sqft of aggregate cannabis cultivation, to replace the raised beds all in previously disturbed area on the main cultivation flat. No grading or tree removal is required, only hand tools will be used for the installation of all proposed hoop rows. No supplemental lights are proposed for use in the 6’ hoop rows; hoop covers will be used for light-deprivation only. There are three (3) 10’x10’ support structures and one (1) 8’x10’ structure for drying, harvest storage, admin hold area, general storage and chemical storage; an existing 1,000sqft immature staging area, 10’x10’ compost area and thirteen (13) existing 2,500-gallon water storage tanks. Additional proposed activities include minimal re-arrangement of the existing storage sheds within the existing premises area to be re-installed at the designated locations, etc. and installation of additional immature canopy in between the mature canopy raised beds for a total of 10,000sqft immature staging area. Water for cultivation would be provided from a permitted spring diversion on-site with 1-1/4’ waterline. Power for the project site will be provided by a proposed portable solar system; replacing any existing gas-powered water pumps that would require carbon offset credits to be purchased. There are no employees and the project’s wastewater needs are met with a permitted onsite septic and dwelling on the adjoining parcel with same property owner, APN: 015-130-020-000.
