Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of outdoor mature canopy located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN): 015-050-048-000. The applicant currently holds a Small Mixed-Light Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-667) and also currently holds an Adult-Use Small Mixed-Light Tier 2 Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC; CCL23-0000293; Expires on 2025-07-18). Cultivation activities currently include approx. 9,982sf of mature mixed-light cannabis grown in twelve (12) (6’x48’) hoop rows, three (3) (6’x110’) hoop rows, three (3) (6’x100’) hoop rows, a 6’x59’ hoop row and a 30’x100’ greenhouse including four (4) (6.5’x92’) canopy rows. Proposed cannabis cultivation activities would include the construction of three (3) 2,500-sf greenhouses to replace the existing hoop row structures. Two (2) 13 ft x 96 ft plots in the existing greenhouse would provide approximately 2,496 sf of canopy, while the proposed greenhouses would provide approximately 7,500 sf of canopy, totaling 9,996 sf of mature mixed-light cannabis canopy. Existing cannabis support infrastructure includes a permitted onsite groundwater well, two (2) 320-sf shipping containers used for processing, harvest storage, administrative hold, and pesticide and agricultural chemical storage; a 450-sf immature plant area; a 144-sf cannabis waste compost area; two (2) plastic nutrient tanks of various capacity; and a 2,500-gallon water storage tank. Proposed cannabis support infrastructure includes the construction of a 2,400-sf shop structure to be used for immature plant cultivation, harvest storage, agricultural chemical storage, and processing area. Power for the project site is provided by an existing connection to the Trinity Public Utility District’s grid as well as from two (2) small gas-powered generators less than 50-hp. There is a permitted septic system on the neighboring parcel with the same owner, APN 015-050-047 associated with CCL-182, also used to serve this project’s wastewater needs; this project also includes proposed development of an additional septic and dwelling structure on previously disturbed area directly adjacent to the existing groundwater well.
