This project is part of the local cannabis licensing process, approved by the Lead Agency under the Cannabis Program EIR. The conveyance improvement project along the bank of the Mad River will compensate for permanent impacts to the historical base flood elevation. The bank will be lowered to allow flood water to pass onto the floodplain at the same capacity as pre-development, while increasing the height of part of the original floodplain limits in order to accommodate up to 1-acre of cannabis cultivation.
