Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of outdoor mature canopy located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN): 019-014-200-057-000. The applicant is seeking a Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-626) and is also seeking an Adult-Use Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC; CCL22-0001542, Expires on 2024-09-28). Cultivation activities will include approx. 9,556sqft of mature canopy in hoop houses of various sizes (a 4’x16’, two (2) 4’x24’, eight (8) 4’x80’, thirteen (13) 4’x100’, two (2) 4’x40’, a 4’x25’, a 4’x30’ and a 10’x40’). Existing support infrastructure includes a municipal connection to Trinity County Waterworks District #1 for water usage; a 10’x16’ shed for petroleum storage; 1,000sqft structure for (894.4sqft) immature canopy; a 14’x14’ cannabis compost area; five (5) 8’x40’ containers for ag chemical storage, drying, harvest storage, processing and general storage; four (4) 2,500-gallon water storage tanks and a 2,500-gallon nutrient mixing tank. There is a permitted onsite septic system onsite that services the project’s wastewater needs. Power for the project is provided by TPUD. A more detailed project description can be found in the Appendix C Checklist. SPECIAL NOTES: 1. The project has applied for an Administrative Buffer Reduction (ABR) as the mature canopy does not meet the residential setback requirement per ORDINANCE NO. 315-856. 2. A portion of the project area was identified to be within Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) 100-year floodplain. The project provided a Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA) that identified that the project elements are outside of the identified floodplain. a. The background picture for Project Premises Diagram shows the two (2) northernmost containers further north than their actual location into the confirmed FEMA floodplain. Those containers were adjusted, re-positioned appropriately and are in fact located outside of the confirmed FEMA floodplain area, on previously disturbed area.
