Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of outdoor mature canopy located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN): 012-260-096-000. The applicant currently holds a Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-173) and also an Adult-Use Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC; CCL18-0002515, Expires on 2025-04-15). Cultivation activities currently include approx. 9,984sqft mature outdoor canopy in twelve (12) rows; four (4) 6’x96’ and eight (8) 6’x160’of raised beds, and a 2,828sqft dedicated to immature canopy within a 30’x70’ greenhouse and a 728sqft area within a 28’x35’ shop. The project site includes a residence, a 28’x35’ shop used for processing, an immature plant area, harvest storage, an administrative hold area, and pesticide and agricultural chemical storage, a 12’x12’ compost area, two (2) 10’x12’ sheds and a 10’x20’ carport used for general storage unrelated to the project, and two (2) 5,000-gallon water storage tanks, and a 1,000-gallon nutrient mixing tank. A permitted septic system will serve the project’s wastewater needs; a permitted onsite groundwater well will serve the project’s water needs. The proposed project aims to maintain the currently cultivation area within the existing footprint. Proposed project activities include digging a 3-foot-wide and 20-foot-long trench to bury power lines. The trench would result in 60-sf of soil disturbance. This task would be completed with hand-tools or with a California Air Resources Board (CARB)-compliant diesel-powered trencher operated for fewer than 30 minutes. No heavy machinery would be used on the project site during trenching. Power for the project is provided by TPUD. A more detailed project description can be found in the Appendix C Checklist.
