Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) is the continuation of existing cultivation activities located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN) 009-530-020-00. The applicant currently holds an Adult Use – Small Mixed-Light Cannabis Cultivation License from the California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) (CCL19-0001904) and is applying for a cannabis cultivation license from the Trinity County Planning Department (CCL-263) to cultivate up to 10,000 square feet (sf) of mature mixed-light canopy. The existing mature cultivation currently includes: two (2) 24’x108’, a 24’x114’, and two (2) 20’x108’ greenhouses; a 30’x50’ building with the following uses and dimensions: a 30’x50’ immature plant area, half of which will become harvest storage and the other half a post-harvest processing area (15’x50’ each); a 2’x4’ shelf for agricultural chemical/pesticide storage (shared with the adjacent parcel – 009-530-21-00); and a 2’x3’ tote for administrative hold; a 25’x25’ cannabis waste and composting area (shared with the adjacent parcel, APN: 009-530-021); a permitted groundwater well for agricultural and domestic purposes; and five (5) 550- and a 3,000-gallon water storage tanks. There are no proposed reconfiguration activities onsite; construction will not occur.
Special Note:
1. The applicant has submitted applications for letters of map amendment (LOMAs) to remove project elements in question from the floodplain. Mitigation Measure 3.10-1b: Restrict Cultivation Operations in Floodplains will apply to the project. Presuming the LOMAs are approved before the beginning of the wet season (November 1), the mitigation measures will not apply to those project elements. Mitigation Measure 3.10-1b will still apply to the areas within the 100-yr floodplain that are not explicitly stated in the materials submitted to FEMA for the LOMA.
