The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (sf) of mature outdoor cannabis located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number APN:019-570-024-000. The applicant is seeking a Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-409) and holds a provisional Adult-Use Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC; CCL20-0000453, Expires on 2024-11-05). Existing activities include the cultivation of up to 10,000 sf of mature canopy in 145 5’x5’ (3,625 sqft) boxes, a 86’5”x20’ (1,726.4 sqft) hoop house, and a 92’4”x30’ (1,825 sqft) hoop house. Support infrastructure includes: a 6’x6’ (36 sqft) shed for generator and petroleum storage, a 7’x8’ (56 sqft) shed for agricultural chemical and pesticide storage, a 10’x12’ (120 sqft) shed for harvest storage that will become packaging with a 2’x3’ (6 sqft) admin hold in a plastic tote, a 19’x54’ (1,026 sqft) processing area, and a 7’x9’ (63 sqft) cannabis waste area (compost). Water will be provided from a groundwater well, and a permitted septic will be used for that project’s wastewater needs. A more detailed project description can be found in the attached Appendix C Checklist. MINOR MODIFICATION: On May 10th 2024 the applicant submitted a Minor Modification request to develop a 125’x40’ graded flat for a proposed 96’x30’ hoop house for mature canopy, and to update their license type to Small Outdoor in order to match their state license. Applicant has provided supplemental Cultural Investigation Studies, RPF letter that omit the project from a Less Than 3-Acre Conversion, and will be required to conduct preconstruction nesting bird/raptor survey if development occurs between February 1 to August 31. The project will grade approximately 5,000-sqft and will not require a grading permit per TCC §15.24.020.
