Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (sf) of mature outdoor cannabis and approx. 3,169 sf of support area located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN) 016-210-017-000. The applicant is seeking a Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-010) and currently holds a provisional cultivator, manufacturer, distributor-transport only, retailer non-storefront, and mixed light Medicinal Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC; CCL12-0000226-LIC, Expires on 2023-07-24). Existing activities include the cultivation of approx. 85 canopy areas totaling 4,544.1 sf of mature outdoor cannabis. This area would be expanded to allow for the cultivation of an additional approx. 95 canopy areas totaling 9,622.8 sf of mature outdoor cannabis. Existing cannabis support infrastructure includes a 24-sf (4’ x 6’) shed for pesticide and agricultural chemical storage; a 200-sf (10’ x 20’) carport for processing, harvest storage, and administrative hold; a permitted well; three water tanks of various capacity; a 225-sf (15’ x 15’) compost area; and a septic system and leach field. The proposed project includes use of an existing permitted groundwater well, and cultivation is irrigated via a timed drip system. Power for the project site is provided through an existing connection to Trinity Public Utility District’s grid. Proposed reconfiguration and construction would include construction of a 2,400-sf (40’ x 60’) shop and 320-sf (8’ x 40’) freezer/shipping container. An approximately 100-foot-long trench will be dug to bury the power lines from the pre-existing 200-amp power panel to the shop. A more detailed project description can be found in the Appendix C Checklist. Special Notes: Setback to neighboring residence (sensitive receptor) was measured at 351ft from exisiting mature canopy. If the applicant intends to expand as proposed, an updated Appendix C Checklist including noise, light and odor attenuation will be required in compliance with: Resolution NO. 2023-071, “A resolution of the Board of Supervisirs of The County of Trinity allowing streamlined approval of cannabis licenses that require CCV’s or the calender year 2023” before that expanded area can be used for cultivation.
