The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of outdoor mature canopy located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN): 020-410-011-000. The applicant is seeking a Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-397) and currently holds an Adult-Use Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC; CCL19-0003798, Expires on 2024-11-25). Cultivation activities include eleven (11) hoop houses for mature plant canopy of the following dimensions: a 30’x77’ (containing four (4) 5.5’x77’ beds), a 14.5’x58’ (containing two (2) 6.25’x58’ beds), a 7’x43’, a 10’x45’, a 18’x50’ (containing three (3) 5’x50’beds), a 8’x86’, a 10’x95’, two (2) 10’x65’ (containing one (1) 8’x65’ bed each), a 10’x100’, and a 30’x97’ (containing three (3) 8’x97’ beds). Other supporting structures include two (2) 30’x100’ and two (2) 20’x50’ hoop houses for immature plant canopy, three (3) lined rainwater catchment ponds of the following capacities: 143,000 gallons; 171,000 gallons; and 268,000 gallons; a 24’x30’ garage including a 12’x22’ processing area, a 12’x22’ harvest storage area, an 8’x16’ agricultural chemical/pesticide storage area, and an 8’x8’ administrative hold area; a 30’ x 40’ building for processing; a 20’x20’ cannabis waste area; a permitted onsite groundwater well, a 5,000-gallon water storage tank and two (2) 2,500-gallon water storage tanks. An onsite permitted septic will serve the project’s wastewater needs, and power for the project will be provided through solar array with a generator back up. A more detailed project description can be found in the Appendix C Checklist. SPECIAL NOTES: 1. A minor modification request was received on 06/26/2024 to update the Environmental Checklist to clarify the proposed mature canopy cultivation license type as outdoor only (instead of mixed-light), following DCC’s redefinition of light-deprivation as outdoor and no longer included with mixed-light license types. Furthermore, mitigation measure 3.8-1d is no longer applicable as the project has no plans for the use of artificial lighting.
