Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (sf) of mature outdoor cannabis located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN) 019-340-42-00. The applicant is seeking a Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-206) and currently holds a provisional Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC; CCL19-0000200, Expires on 2024-10-25). Existing activities include the cultivation of approx. 9,000 sf of mature outdoor cannabis consisting of 360 plants grown in 5 foot by 5 foot wooden planters with 6 inches of overhang on each side. Existing cannabis support infrastructure includes a 400 sqft hoop house for immature cultivation; four (4) sheds of various dimensions used for general storage (8’x8’, 8’x10’ and Two (2) 10’x12’); a 100 sqft cannabis waste and compost area; a 160 sqft shipping container to be used for harvest storage, admin hold, and processing; a general storage area; and a 32 sqft agricultural chemical and pesticide storage area. Water Storage includes One (1) 1,500 gallon tank, One (1) 2,500 gallon tank, One (1) 1,000 gallon tank and One (1) 275 gallon chemical mixing tank. The proposed project includes use of an existing permitted groundwater well, and cultivation is irrigated via a timed drip system. Power for the project site is provided through an existing on-site solar system with generator for backup. Proposed activities include the installation of an additional 30’x40’ hoop house for immature canopy on previously disturbed area, using hand tools only. A more detailed project description can be found in the Appendix C Checklist. SPECIAL NOTES: 1. Per Resolution NO. 2023-071 “A resolution of the Board of Supervisors of The County of Trinity allowing streamlined approval of cannabis licenses that require CCV’s or the calendar year 2023”, in compliance with Trinity County Code (TCC) Section 17.43.050 (A)(8), for being within the 350 ft. setback to a neighboring dwelling structure (sensitive receptor) the applicant has provided supplemental Odor, Noise, and Light Attenuation Plans.
