Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 5,000 square feet (SF) of outdoor cannabis located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN): 016-210-09-00. The designated area totals 5,140 SF. The applicant is seeking a Specialty Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-239) and a Specialty Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC; CCL18-0000850, expires 2023-06-10). Cultivation activities include 4,900 SF of contiguous mature outdoor canopy and two (2) 120sqft hoophouses for immature canopy. The proposed project includes use of a well diversion with solar pump for water source. The cultivation is irrigated via a drip system to reduce water loss. Other exisiting support infrastructure includes a 3,500sqft Barn for non-cultivation related storage, a 36sqft shed for Ag & Chemical Storage, 300sqft Bus for general storage, a 2,500gal water storage tanks, a 153.5sqft compost area and a 120sqft shed for processing. The direct footprint of the infrastructure and support area results in approximately 9,213.5 SF. A more detailed project description can be found in the Appendix C Checklist. SPECIAL NOTES: According to the submitted FEMA Floodplain Map included within the Appendix C document the 100-year flood zone for Hayfork Creek is located to the west of the cultivation area; however, the cultivation area and all associated support structures are outside of the designated flood zone. The County may consider asking for a site map revision showing the setback distance from top of bank or edge of riparian for Hayfork Creek to ensure the setback meets State Water Quality Control Board (SWQCB) setbacks.
