Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (1600-2019-0826-R1), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, to the project Applicant, Todor Stankov. The project is limited to two projects on a private parcel used for residential and commercial cannabis access. One will upgrade a stream crossing from a mis-aligned structureless crossing on a class III stream to a 24-inch corrugated metal pipe designed to accommodate the 100-year storm event. The second project consists of removal of a severely undersized 10-foot diameter corrugated metal pipe and associated fill and construction of a new rail-car bridge just upstream in a new alignment. The culvert removal will include removal of all fill material in the existing crossing and stabilizing the slopes with new vegetation and erosion control. The bridge will include a 75-foot rail car bridge oriented to allow proper passage of both water and vehicular traffic. The construction of the bridge will improve fish passage on Summit Creek and increase flood capacity by accommodating a 100-year storm event thereby reducing localized bank scour.
