Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) is an existing license for cultivation on Trinity County Assessor Parcel Numbers (APNs): 011-350-04-00 & 011-350-07-00, located off of Lower South Fork Road in western Trinity County. No significant changes to the cultivation site or associated activities are proposed. The project proposes to redefine the current cultivation State license type from a Specialty Outdoor to a Specialty Mixed-Light license. The change in cultivation method results in 780 SF of additional cultivation area (see Table 1 below). The mixed-light cultivation will be grown in primitive hoop tunnels. The project proposes within the next five (5) years to expand the 224 SF shed used for cultivation activities to 1,000 SF. Alternatively proposed action instead of expanding the shed, is installing a new 1,000 SF shop in a previously disturbed area on the subject parcel. The project presently uses rainwater catchment for irrigation use only; drip irrigation, and mulching techniques are utilized to conserve water usage. The current water storage of the existing rainwater catchment ponds (65,170-gallons and 97,755-gallons) totals 162,925 gallons of water. The amount of water storage and irrigation techniques will accommodate the switch from outdoor to mixed-light cultivation techniques. Minimal disturbance will be required for the proposed action and no grading is proposed for the change of cultivation method from outdoor to mixed-light. Cultivation activities include 4,200 square feet (SF) of permitted cannabis cultivation, propagation of seed stock and drying of harvested cannabis plants to support onsite use only. Processing occurs onsite and there is no packaging onsite. Associated cannabis support buildings and infrastructure include: one (1) 4’x4’ (16 SF) used for cannabis waste (compost) area; one (1) 8’x28’ (224 SF) shed used for processing, harvest storage, administration hold area, and agricultural chemical and pesticide storage area; one (1) 30’x50’ (1,500 SF) used for immature plant area; two (2) rainwater catchment ponds (65,170 gallons and 97,755 gallons); and two (2) 390-gallon nutrient mixing tanks. The direct footprint of the cultivation and infrastructure results in approximately 5,940 SF. A more detailed project description can be found in the attached Appendix C.
