Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of outdoor mature canopy located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN): 015-270-029-000. The applicant is seeking a Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-815) and is also seeking an Adult-Use Specialty Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC; LCA24-0000210) with plans to transition into Small Outdoor license type in subsequent years. Cultivation activities will include approx. 8,990sqft of mature canopy in (215) 6’x6’ canopy areas; there are currently four (4) 2’x60’ raised beds and ten (10) 4’x80’ hoop houses for mature outdoor canopy. Existing support infrastructure includes one 12’x35’ utility shed for immature canopy (10’x26’) that will become post-harvest processing, harvest storage and packaging; a permitted groundwater well, a 3,000-gallon and three (3) 2,500-gallon water tanks, 8’x20’ container for ag chemical storage and 15’x15’ compost area. There is a permitted septic system that services the projects’ wastewater needs. Power for the project is provided by TPUD. Proposed activities include the installation of two (2) 6’x20’ hoop houses for immature canopy, a 10’x12’ shed for agricultural chemical storage and (50) 5’x5’ mature outdoor canopy areas as well as replacing the existing ten (10) 4’x80’ mature hoop houses and four (4) 2’x60’ mature beds with (215) 6’x6’ mature canopy areas; installation of the proposed structures will involve minimal grading. A more detailed project description can be found in the Appendix C Checklist. SPECIAL NOTES: 1. Although the project includes potential land-use conversion of previously undisturbed area, a Registered Professional Forester was not required to assess the potential for a CalFire less-than three-acre conversion exemption permit as no commercial tree species were identified in the proposed development area.
