The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of outdoor mature canopy located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN): 015-140-025-000. The applicant is seeking a Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-548) and currently holds an Adult-Use Small Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC; CCL19-0005030, Expires on 2025-04-22). Cultivation activities will include approx. 9,600sqft in (136) 8’x8’ canopy areas (8,704sqft) for mature outdoor canopy (29 boxes on the upper tier, 83 boxes on the middle tier, and 24 boxes on the lower tier) and 14 additional proposed 8’x8’ boxes. Existing support infrastructure includes a permitted groundwater well, (9) nine 2,500-gallon water storage tanks; (12) twelve 275-gallon nutrient mixing tanks; a 5’x4’ storage area for agricultural chemical and pesticide storage; a 10’x12’ shed for harvest storage, and administrative hold (2’x3’); two (2) 10’x12’ sheds for harvest storage; (2) 6’x80’ hoop houses for immature plant area; 4’x12’ and 14’x14’ cannabis waste and composting areas. Proposed activities include reconstructing the (14) mature canopy boxes that were destroyed in the 2023 earthflow event to bring the cultivation area back to its original layout, total 9,600sqft canopy area. A more detailed project description can be found in the Appendix C Checklist. SPECIAL NOTES: 1. Dwellings ranging from 110’ feet to 225’ feet from the project’s cultivation, located on APNs 015-140-026 and -027 are associated with other issued county projects (CCL-079 and -224) and therefore a 350’ setback is not required. Furthermore, as this is a “legacy” site, the Applicant also qualifies for an Administrative Buffer Reduction – Director’s Use Permit under Ordinance No. 315-856 to cultivate within 350 feet of a residential dwelling.
