Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) is the continuation of existing cultivation activities located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN) 019-040-024. The applicant currently holds an Adult Use – Medium Mixed-Light Cannabis Cultivation License from the California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) (CCL18-0000876 expires 2024-04-09) and is applying for a cannabis cultivation license from the Trinity County Planning Department (CCL-019) to cultivate up to 10,000 square feet (sf) of mature mixed-light canopy. The existing cultivation currently includes four (4) 30’x96’ greenhouses for mature canopy cultivation (with a 26’x85’ canopy area in each); a 10’x40’ hoop-house for immature canopy cultivation. Support infrastructure includes: a permitted groundwater well for agricultural and domestic use; a 2,500-gallon water storage tank for domestic use; a 1,550- and three 2,500-gallon nutrient mixing tanks; a 20’x20’ building for agricultural chemical and pesticide storage (3’x10’) and a proposed administrative hold area (3’x5’); a 20’x60’ building for processing that will become harvest storage (20’x50’) and packaging area (10’x20’); a 15’x20’ pole barn and a small shed (6’x6’) for generator storage; a 10’x20’ cannabis waste and composting area. Proposed activities include demolishing two (2) greenhouses that collapsed in recent storms and rebuilding the two (2) collapsed greenhouses; there will be no soil disturbance. A more detailed project description can be found in the Appendix C Checklist. Special Notes: Rewable Energy Requirements, Power for this Project is 100% generator based and therefore, upon transition to “On-site power being supplied partial or wholly from non-renewable source with purchase of carbon offset credits” must be re-evaluated for the proposed project. The applicant holds a Medium Mixed-Light License type with DCC, however the proposed license type with Trinity County is for Small Mixed-Light, up to 10,000 sqft only.
