Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) is the continuation of existing cultivation activities located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN) 019-640-023. The applicant currently holds an Adult Use – Small Mixed-Light Cannabis Cultivation License from the California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) (CCL22-0000476, expires 2023-09-30) and is applying for a cannabis cultivation license from the Trinity County Planning Department (CCL-393) to cultivate up to 10,000 square feet (sf) of mature mixed-light canopy. See below for additional project information. The existing cultivation currently includes Three (3) greenhouses (8,385 sqft total), two (2) 30’x96’and one (1) 35’x75’ for mature canopy; one (1) proposed greenhouse 20'x70' (1,400 sqft) in a previously disturbed area will be used for mature canopy also. One (1) existing greenhouse 24’x70’ (1,680 sqft) is used for immature canopy. Other structures used to support cultivation operations include a permitted groundwater well, two (2) 2,500 gallon water storage tanks and a solar power system. Support activities are conducted in the immature cultivation greenhouse (24’x70’) including a storage area for nutrients and pesticides, administrative hold area, and drying and processing space. For the proposed mature canopy greenhouse (20’x70’), on the existing terrace, the area will be installed with concrete footings in post holes, and then installation of supports and exterior shell. There are no plans for expansion, and there will be no additional ground disturbance or construction activities (installation only, no construction). A more detailed project description can be found in the Appendix C Checklist. Special Notes: A variance from the neighboring structures within 350ft is not required at this time because the neighboring structures are not legal dwellings and therefore are not currently considered as sensitive receptors. Further review and potential variance could be required if/when a neighboring residence is finaled with occupancy.
