Document Description
This project consists of an ongoing cannabis cultivation operation in Trinity County, California. Site cultivation operations commenced in approximately 2017. The site comprises approximately 32,203 sq ft of total area, with a combined cultivation area of 10,500 sq ft (9,700 sq ft mature cultivation area, 800 sq ft of immature growth). The site license is classified as “Small Outdoor Mixed Light” and utilizes temporary hoophouses, permanent greenhouses will be utilized during subsequent growing seasons within the same general cultivation footprint and will increase the mature cultivation area to approximately 10,000 sq ft. Proposed support facilities include one 20’x80’ metal structure, and a 10’x12’ shed for nutrients, pesticides, and administrative hold area totaling approximately 1,720 sq ft. Water tanks are supplied by a permitted groundwater well and pump that is currently installed on the property. The property will utilize a permitted septic system serviced routinely as needed.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
