Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (sf) of mature mixed-light cannabis located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN) 024-680-60-00. The applicant is seeking a Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-371) and a Small Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC – CCL18-0001795 expired 2023-04-10). Existing activities include a 40’x240’ outdoor cultivation area (9,600 ft2) for mature canopy. Existing cannabis support infrastructure includes an 8’x20’ storage container for harvest storage including a 3’x6’ area for administrative hold; a 24’x36’ barn consisting of a 12’x17’ area for immature plants and the remaining area for processing; a 6’x8’ shed for agricultural chemical and pesticide storage; a permitted groundwater well for both agricultural and domestic purposes; two (2) 300-gallon water storage tanks for fire suppression; five (5) 2,500-gallon, five (5) 300-gallon, and one (1) 5,000-gallon water storage tanks; and one (1) 300-gallon nutrient mixing tank.. A more detailed project description can be found in the Appendix C Checklist. Proposed activities would include: reduction of the existing cultivation area to approximately 7,000 sf by shortening its eastern extent, extension of the existing cultivation area by grading a pad of approximately 3,000 sf at the northwestern end to reach 10,000 sf of mature canopy which will include the removal of approximately 10 trees (a grading permit is not required as the graded area will be less than 20,000 sf; however, the trees to be removed will be inspected by a Registered Professional Forester to determine the need for a CAL Fire less than 3- acre conversion exemption); grade an area of approximately 45’x45’ (2,025 sf) to construct a concrete foundation and install a 100,000-gallon metal water storage tank.
