Document Description
The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of mixed-light mature canopy located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN): 011-210-035. The applicant is seeking a Small Mixed-Light Cannabis Cultivation License from the County (CCL-362) and currently holds an Adult-Use Small Mixed-Light Tier 1 Cannabis Cultivation License from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC; CCL20-0000489, Expires on 2024-09-21). Cultivation activities include approx. 9,984sqft of mature canopy in four (4) 30’x100’ greenhouses with 26’x96’ mature canopy each. Existing support infrastructure includes three (3) 30’x100’ greenhouses and 16’x20’ building for immature canopy, five (5) 15’x15’ and three (3) 10’x12’ sheds for general, Project-related storage; a 20’x20’ cannabis waste area for composting; an 8’x 20’ shipping container used for agricultural chemical and pesticide storage; a 20’x40’ building used for processing, harvest storage and administrative hold; a 29’x29’ building with a break room on the first floor; a permitted groundwater well; and four (4) 500-gallon water tanks for nutrient mixing, four (4) 1000-gallon water storage tanks, two (2) 2500-gallon water storage tanks, and a 3,000-gallon water storage tank. There is a permitted septic system that services the projects’ wastewater needs. Power is provided by TPUD and there is a permitted septic system on site to serve the projects’ wastewater needs. Proposed project activities include installation of two (2) 15’x15’ sheds for general storage and construction of a 36’x80’ building for processing within the legacy cultivation area on a previously graded and developed pad. This would not require the disturbance of new ground or clearing of native vegetation as the area has previously been graded and disturbed. A more detailed project description can be found in the Appendix C Checklist. MINOR MODIFICATION: On January 18, 2024 the applicant submitted a minor modification request to update the Appendix C for the “Removal of two greenhouses and expansion of cannabis waste area (compost).” The greenhouses removed were previously described as non-cannabis use (11. & 14. Hoop Houses); the compost was expanded from 10’x20’ to 20’x20’. Special Note: The Appendix C Checklist was updated after the County received a compliance memo from LACO Associates for CCL-362. Changes include the use of one (1) existing 8’x 20’ shipping container used for agricultural chemical and pesticide storage.
