Document Description
Sequoia National Forest Prioritized Meadow Restoration, 2020019. The Project will restore condition and function of five meadows in Sequoia National Forest: Granite Knob, Little Horse, Little Troy, Upper Parker, and Lower Parker meadows. This will be accomplished through treatments such as filling incised channels, installing rock riffles, building rock grade control structures, and placement of woody debris, dependent upon conditions within the subject meadows. Reconnecting stream channels to the floodplains within these meadows will attenuate peak flows, raise groundwater elevations, enhance late season base flows, decrease water temperature and sediment loading, and provide improved habitat conditions for native fish and wildlife.
