Document Description
The project consists of establishing an emergency lease at McClellan Park for seven new Lockhead C-130H airtankers that CAL FIRE will acquire from the federal government. Additionally, CAL FIRE will soon be acquiring larger S70i helicopters, which requires a reorganization of existing hangar space. The current hangars that CAL FIRE leases are not large enough to accommodate the new planes. This new lease will consist of 31,675 sf north of office towers. Includes ground floor of middle tower and 630 sf cage on south side of the middle tower in existing facility. All new leased hangar space is within the existing McClellan Air Park, a former air force base that is located approx 10 miles northeast of downtown Sacramento.
