Document Description
The project is the replacement of a drainage pumping plant pipeline which penetrates the west levee of the Knights Landing Ridge Cut Drain. An existing 14" pipeline will be removed and replaced in-kind. The project also includes the removal and replacement of a pump platform on the water side of the west levee.

Reasons for Exemption
15303 class 3, consists of construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures; installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures; and the conversion of existing small structures from one use to another where only minor modifications are made in the exterior of the structure. Examples of this exemption include, but are not limited to: (d) water main, sewage, electrical, gas, and other utility extensions, including street improvements, of reasonable length to serve such construction.
Any potential impacts to the Knights Landing Ridge Cut Drain floodway are presumed to be insignificant b/c the Central Valley Flood Protection Board is authorized to deny any project that will be injurious to a flood control work pursuant to Water Code Section 8723.
