Document Description
Driftwood, silt, sediment, garbage, and vegetation will be removed from 24-inch, 27 inch, and 36 inch drain inlets to maintain flood conveyance capacity. The debris will be removed by backhoe or loader and will be disposed of at the SLFD yard, or at another appropriate offsite location. The size of the cleared areas will depend on the drain inlet, but will range from about 2-feet wide by 5-feet wide by 20-feet long. After the debris is removed, by slopes and embankments leading up to the drain inlet gates will be reshaped, if needed. The State Water Project Contractors will benefit.
