Document Description
The northernmost bank (proximal to the farm road/walnut orchard) will be stabilized using biotechnical erosion control methods. Bed load and gravel will be relocated from the thalweg and creek bed to the creek's eroding bank. The native riparian vegetation within the streambed will be relocated to the eroding bank. The relocated vegetation will be irrigated to promote root growth and plant reestablishment. The project will run 500 feet in length and an estimated 3,000 cubic yards of accumulated gravel will be relocated to the eroding bank. There will be a discharge of dredge and fill material into 0.09 acre below the ordinary high-water mark and the dredging of 0.12 acre of accumulated sediment that will be used as fill material to restore the uplands.
