Document Description
The proposed project would consist of a trail connection that starts at the north end of the project area where it would tie into the existing Sacramento River Trail system at the parking lot on the south side of the river, near the Diestelhorst Bridge. Two 12-ft-wide paved trails would be constructed between the parking lot and Riverside Dr. Proposed improvements include sidewalk gap completion, improved intersection facilities, corridor lighting, an enhanced crossing with rapid flashing beacons at Court Street, and a dedicated cycling and pedestrian pathway requiring either a one-way or full closure of Riverside Dr from Court St to Center St. Most of the work would occur in the city's ROW; however, a minor amount of utility acquisition would be required.
