Document Description
The Sure Fresh Produce facility is proposed on 16 acres in the City of Lompoc's approved Central Coast Specific Plan Area. The Sure Fresh Facility would consist of production and support facilities for the receiving, processing, freezing, storage, and shipping of local, fresh produce. Produce would be washed, cut, blanched (If required), quick-frozen, packaged in bulk, and stored in freezer storage. The project includes a proposal to use water pumped from an existing well located on an agricultural parcel approximately three-quarters of a mile away from the project site for processing. After use in processing, the resulting process wastewater would be returned for irrigation use.
