Document Description
CDFW is issuing a a permit to SFSU pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 2081(a) for research in California State Waters. The Section 2081(a) for research in California State Waters. The Section 2081(a) permit authorizes SFSU to incidentally take Longfin Smelt, Coho Salmon, and Chinook Salmon during the course of its education fish collection subject to terms and conditions set forth in the permit. The purpose of this fish collection is to sample a variety of marine/estuarine habitats for field trips in courses as a demonstration of local diversity. Fish collection will be conducted aboard research vessels, and the shoreline using a variety of collection methods including trawl nets, hook and line, and hand collection gear.
