This project involves requesting a variance from the Country Zoning Ordinance that requires a minimum 20 foot setback from an existing street for new construction of a building. The proposed construction is a two story garage.
The setback would be 15 feet, nine inches as opposed to the existing 20 foot requirement in the current zoning ordinance. The variance will allow the new building to be constructed in the footprint of a previous building. Any additional setback would require extensive engineered fill due to the topography steepening significantly. This would substantially increase the cost of construction.
