Document Description
The emergency project will repair cemented rock bank damage and slope failures on State Route 180 near Kings Canyon National Park. Due to a series of repeated monsoonal thunder storm events that occurred in July/August 2018, the Kings River experienced high velocity water flows that caused cemented rock bank damage and slope failures with undermining at multiple locations. The repair includes placement of 4,000 cubic yards of clean rock rip-rap, 2,000 cubic yards of fill, and 500 cubic yards of concrete slurry.
