Sardine Meadow Culverts
NOE - Notice of Exemption
This project will install two 18' culverts under SR108 to connect historic drainages from the north to south side of the highway and restore the Sardine Meadow wetland area. This is a restoration project in conjunction with CA Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) and the Humboldt-Tolyabe National Forest.
Location Specific: Postmile 2.65 on State Route 108 in Mono County.

Reasons for Exemption
The project is limited in scope (two culverts) and intends to restore wetland habitat by conveying water underneath SR108. There are no significant impacts anticipated from this project, and riparian mitigation credits are being awarded to Caltrans by CDFW for restoration.
