Document Description
The District proposed project included replacement of an old bolted steel ground storage reservoir of 220,000 gallon capacity (800 Tank) with a new, larger reservoir for potable water storage. The existing reservoir was removed and disposed of. The new reservoir's dimensions are 16' height x 86' diameter, with a 700,000-gallon capacity. Thirty inches of native soil were excavated and recompacted to 22" with an 8" rock cap to create a base for the pad, and the pad was installed encompassing the area of the demolished reservoir. The new bolted steel ground storage reservoir was built to the current American Water Works Association standards.
