- Document Description
- The proposed project would rehabilitate and widen the existing Grant Ave vehicle and pedestrian bridge over Novato Creek, as well as stabilize the banks and channel on the upstream portion of Novato Creek to minimize scouring of bridge foundations. The existing bridge (Caltrans Bridge No. 27C0021) was built in 1936 and is structurally sound. By current standards, the existing bridge is not wide enough to carry both vehicular and bicycle traffic. The project would be located along the existing bridge near the intersection of Grant Ave and Virginia Ave in city.
