- The project proposes to rehabilitate and widen a section of SR 299 between the communities of Bieber and Adin and Lassen and Modoc Counties, CA. The proposed project will rehabilitate approx 8.4 miles of SR 299. The proposed scope of work includes shoulder widening (to four feet), reconstructing roadway structural section, re-aligning the SR 139 intersection, reconstructing driveway and county road approaches, replacing and/or extending drainage culverts, updating Intelligent Transportation Systems elements, and replacing guard rails. The proposed project will also improve the clear recovery zone by removing obstacles and flattening slopes.
