Document Description
Note: Review Per Lead To allow a Commercial Lavender & Chamomile Farm (UP 16-08) & the Cultivation of Commercial Cannabis (Major use permit, UP 18-16) located on a 140 acre parcel. The Commercial Lavender & Chamomile Farm would cultivate & produce lavender/chamomile essential oils & herbal remedies onsite which would occur year around, except when the processing of cultivated cannabis (drying, curing, trimming, shipping, etc) from Sep through Oct. Please note, the applicant would not be manufacturing cannabis and/or extracting cannabis, including it byproducts. The Lavender/Chamomile would be grown within the proposed greenhouses & outdoors. The locations of the outdoor crop would vary depending on crop rotation. The Commercial Cultivation of Cannabis would include a 12,000 sf area known as the nursery area which would house immature cannabis plants. Once the immature cannabis plants became mature they would be transported to the main grow area. The A-Type 3 Outdoor License allows up to max canopy area of 43,560 sf in size and a max cannabis cultivation area of 65,000 sf in size. The hours of operation would be Monday through Sunday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Saturday's 9:00 AM - 1:00PM. There would be approx 2 employees during normal operational hours & up to 5 employees during peak season. The proposed operation would not be open to the general public, and all products would be shipped out. All shipment would be done through the use of a small delivery vehicles only. All large delivery and shipping vehicle would be prohibited.
